Clarissa is a user experience strategist and writer who focuses on creating purposeful content and designing with empathy. She has been working with the web since 2002, starting as a front-end developer and then spending many years as a “web team of one” at nonprofit and advocacy organizations. She has experience in UX design, accessibility, content strategy, project management, and technical writing and editing. Clarissa is the author of Learning Responsive Web Design: A Beginner’s Guide (O’Reilly Media, 2014). She also creates online courses for LinkedIn Learning (Lynda.com) and speaks at design and tech conferences around the world.
