ArtCenter Faculty Babette Lee Strousse – Product Design and H&S, ArtCenter College of Design, moderated a discussion between Marni Gerber – Senior Design Director, Nike, ArtCenter Faculty Jini Keasling – Senior Manager, Hot Wheels Packaging Design at Mattel, Sara Ortloff Khoury – User Experience Design Director, Google and Mariana Prieto – Design Innovation Lead.
The group discussed what it takes to be a leader in the social innovation, corporate and technology sectors along with the challenges, responsibilities, rewards and opportunities that come with being in a creative leadership position.
This panel was part of a live stream from ArtCenter’s Women in ID Forum, a celebration of the contributions and accomplishments of alumnae in the field of industrial design. Speakers included designers from Google, Airbnb, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, MIT Media Lab, NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Mattel, Snap Inc., Volkswagen, Sony, Karten Design and BCG Digital Ventures.
