Alanna Risse is an instructor, creative technologist, and web developer who cut her teeth in the Silicon Valley as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer and manager during the 1990s. She continued as a web developer in San Francisco until 2010 when she moved to Portland Oregon to pursue her love of instructional design and adult learning. During her three year stint at Thinkful/Chegg, her passion for instructional design blossomed. She is currently an interactive media instructor at the School of Art + Design at Portland State University and the Director of Communication Technology at CETI.
