Carrie Andersen is a Senior Content Strategy Manager in the Experience Design department at Wayfair, where she focuses on optimizing the core customer shopping experience. At Wayfair, she created and leads the Content Strategy Development Program, a series of weekly classes in user experience and content development. She also volunteers as a career mentor through Harvard University’s Office of Career Services, where she specializes in advising current Ph.D. students interested in pursuing non-academic careers.
Prior to Wayfair, Carrie received her Ph.D. in American Studies in 2017 from the University of Texas at Austin and was a lecturer in the same department after completing her degree. As a Ph.D. student, she also spearheaded the creation of the American Studies department’s social media presence, and worked on the digital humanities publication The End of Austin with other members of the American Studies community. She currently lives in Boston with her husband and corgi.
