Focus on Design Education + Women in Creative Fields
As an educator and owner of Reverie Design Studio, Casey has taught Interior Design at The Art Institute of Portland, Portland Community College, and George Fox University in addition to being a practicing Interior Designer and business owner. Passionate about design education, Casey promotes women in creative fields through her endeavors.
Under her leadership at George Fox University, the Interior Design program has grown by 200% in four years and has won the International Interior Design Association’s Changemaker Award as the Campus of the Year back to back in 2023 and 2024 for her innovative teaching strategies bringing real world projects into the design classroom and giving back to the community with design work for non-profits. She has also had students attend the National IIDA Design Charette in Chicago during NeoCon, as well as having students sit on National design panels. She also writes for leading publications in the design world to help to empower young women in design.
