Karren is an organizational psychologist seeking to help people thrive at work, especially those who have been historically underrepresented in their workplaces and industries. Her research explores the roles our motivations and identities have in building bridges across differences, finding common ground, and blazing new trails.
Karren earned a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Prior to her academic career, she worked as a mechanical design engineer for Nike, Inc. From Washington University in St. Louis, she received an MBA and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.
