Priyanka Pathak is an award-winning creative director, product designer, engineer, and artist specializing in women’s health and wellbeing. She is the founder and principal of Samaj Studio, a creative studio at the intersection of design, technology, and art.
Over 15 years and across 17 countries, Priyanka has co-designed products, programs, and experiences with women and girls alongside organizations including UNICEF, the World Bank, WHO, the Gates Foundation, and USAID, as well as grassroots community organizations and early-stage startups. Her work spans reproductive and maternal health, digital health, gender-based violence, and ethical AI, always rooted in a conviction that beauty and rigor are not opposites.
She has been recognized with two Core77 Design Awards and a Gates Foundation Vaccine Innovation Award nomination.
Priyanka has served as faculty at Parsons School of Design, Arizona State University, the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design, and TechChange, and has lectured at Columbia, UC Berkeley, Johns Hopkins, Imperial College London, and IIT Delhi. She holds a master’s degree in Biomedical (Global Health) Informatics from Columbia University.
