By day, Alexis (she/they) is the first Accessibility and Inclusive Design Lead at Splunk, where her focus is on education and advocacy, process development, and implementation of best practices for accessibility in the company’s product suite. Prior to Splunk, she was the first and only product designer at Sysdig, a microservices security and monitoring platform, where she initiated a user research and development program, advocated for and helped implement a design system, and redesigned their flagship application. To give back to her community, she speaks at events and teaches black and latinx middle schoolers about design thinking through Inneract Project. In her spare time, you can find her engaging with queer community through drag, dance, and performance, or experimenting with cooking techniques and recipes.
