Barbara earned her associate’s degree from ECPI in computer electronics, her bachelor’s degree from St. Leo University in computer information, and her master’s degree in management from Troy State University. Barbara owns and operates BHS Consulting and Training, LLC., a consulting organization that provides customized training to small, medium, and large corporations.
Barbara has worked in many industries, including information technology, academia, construction, hotel management, transportation, and sales. She coaches individuals and small businesses and shares her vast knowledge and experience helping others grow in their lives and in their businesses. She is a certified Microsoft Office Productivity Specialist in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, member of SHRM (Society of Human Resources Management) and is a graduate of the NSA (National Speakers Association) Speaker Academy. Her training is customized and topics include diversity/inclusion, leadership and management, information technology, customer service and more.
Barbara serves her community assisting non-profit organizations, and studies to improve her craft as an actor. You can find her working on movie sets with different projects in the local area. She is also deeply involved in the community as an advocate for women and children. Having overcome obstacles in her own life, she pays it forward by actively serving organizations like Natasha House, Inc., a transitional home for women and children, She’Matters Girls, Inc., the Girls Club of Hampton Roads, and the Hampton Roads Community Action Program’s Project Discovery.
