Carmen Broomes is the Head of UX Research at Handshake where she helps students jump-start their careers and employers find the right match for their company. She has practiced UX for 22 years at companies such as Indeed, Motorola, Whirlpool, Humana, and Rackspace. She has a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Michigan State where she specialized in Human-Computer Interaction and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems from Flordia A&M University. During her spare time, she loves caring for her two kids and helping the Austin community thrive.
