
Flor Barajas, as a proud Mexican woman designer, a graduate assistant pursuing her MFA in Communication Design at Texas State University, and speaker based in Austin, Texas, is finding ways to increase the discussion of the interconnectedness of gender equality and diversity in design. Her continuous thesis research— Mujeres Mexicanas del Diseño Gráfico: Showcasing the Current Women Creative Directors of Graphic Design in Mexico City. Her work has led her to talk in Austin Design Week, the SXSW Innovation Lab, the AIGA Grow Conference in Austin, and the Tipografía Mexico in UDEM Campus Monterrey, Mexico.
