
Hazel is a design technologist at NPR. She leads research and design for all things podcast related — from internal tools for podcast producers to digital experiences on audience-facing platforms.
She is an experienced advocate for users and a close collaborator with developers and product managers; she has designed solutions that both put users at the forefront and informed system level product direction. In addition to the human-centered design process, she has experience conducting academic research and front-end development.
Hazel holds a BS in Cognitive Science with Specialization in Human-Computer Interaction from UC San Diego, where she received department honors and distinction.
