JD currently leads one of the most adventurous, cutting-edge spaces for innovation and fabrication in the country, the Autodesk Pier 9 Workshop. Bringing together designers, engineers, and thinkers to push the limits of what both hardware and software can do, the shop empowers thought leadership through hands-on learning and making.
With a Masters in Architecture from MIT and a certificate in Fine Woodworking from the College of the Redwoods, JD’s background spans technology, craft, and design. Creating community and enabling collaboration are at the heart of JD’s work to support development of responsive future visions and responsible technologies.
