Leslie Wingo

As President and CEO, she leads Sanders\Wingo, a Texas-based independent creative firm that leverages cultural fluency and behavioral economics to create results-driven work for brands like USPS, Q2, AT&T, Pivotal Ventures, and State Farm. Under Wingo’s leadership, Sanders\Wingo emphasizes the human element of marketing, giving clients viable, right-on marketing strategies through impactful storytelling. An integral part of the agency’s growth, Wingo is a community leader in marketing, cultural diversity, and social welfare issues. 

A powerhouse speaker with TEDx on her list of credits, Wingo uses her platform as a DEI expert to educate audiences on the social and business impacts of bias, stereotypes, and labels we place on one another. An advocate for women and marginalized voices, Wingo believes in giving back whenever possible and volunteers her time with organizations that share her commitment to diversity. She has served as Director and Committee Chair roles on several boards, including Painting Pandas, the Texas Book Festival, YPO Women’s Business Network, and Dell Children’s Foundation. 

In 2011, Wingo was awarded the Silver Medal by the Austin Advertising Federation for her contributions to advancing the advertising industry’s standards, creative excellence, and responsibility in areas of social concern. The following year, she was named among the “Top Women Executives in Advertising & Marketing” in Black Enterprise magazine’s Women of Power issue, and in 2014, Wingo won the Austin Business Journal’s 2014 Women of Influence Award.

Leslie Wingo is a proud Texas native and holds a BBA in Marketing from the University of Texas at El Paso. She lives in Austin with her husband and two kids, and she loves a good story over a great glass of wine. Of all the labels she’s been given and roles she plays in life, “mom” is her favorite.
