Nina is a hands-on design leader with over a decade of experience building apps, brands, complex platforms, design systems, and awesome teams. As a Principal Product Designer at Zalando, the leading European online fashion retailer, she helps shape the strategy and experience vision of ZEOS, their logistics and multi-channel fulfillment platform.
Previously, she consulted Zalando and other clients on DesignOps and Design Systems. As energetic community leader she kicked off Led by Design in Berlin for experienced UX/product design professionals and leaders focused on strategy, designOps, and CX, and led DesignOps Assembly Berlin chapter for a year.
Prior to that, she spent nearly three years at relayr (acquired by Munich RE) where she played a crucial role in fostering a culture of cross-functional collaboration as the company transitioned from consultancy to product-driven org. enabling portfolio of 10+ products and projects to modernize German SME manufacturing businesses with a small but mighty design system.
Nina is passionate about helping organizations bridge the gap between business strategy and meaningful customer outcomes. She does so by bringing people together and creating the conditions for design and product teams to thrive. Through her work, advisory roles, and community engagements, she firmly advocates for design as a leadership discipline and a catalyst for collaboration and innovation.
