Susan is a Senior UX Designer at Amazon with 8+ years of experience in the field of user experience / interaction design and entrepreneurship in Europe, South East Asia, North America, East, South, and West Africa. She has consulted and designed cloud computing services, digital mobile products and product strategy for corporates and agencies and impact organizations who build for and empower users in both developed and emerging markets.
Susan accumulated her professional experience designing usable and delightful products and services in cloud computing, ag-tech, health, and fin-tech sectors. She got her design experience working with design agencies such as IBM, Dalberg Design, Frog design, and before that, she ran her own company; M-Farm; worked with Kenyan Telco, research firms, tech women & startup mentorship programs and global social impact organizations.
She was named one of the 20 youngest power women in Africa of the year, by Forbes, and featured on of the “Top 10 Female Tech Founders to watch in Africa” by Forbes Magazine.
Susan has held speaking engagements in international and African platforms include SXSW, GES (Global Entrepreneurship Summit), Kenya Ag & Africa Tech Forums, and GFIA among others. She facilitates design workshops during these events and often sits on different panels as a thought leader focusing on design and entrepreneurship.
