Sveta has worked with businesses for over 10 years to make their web, media, and events usable and accessible to the world’s largest and the most ignored minority of 1.85 billion disabled people. She has an MS degree in Internet Technology and over 20 years of professional expertise in design, tech, and accessibility.
Sveta is also a founder of Audio Accessibility and provides consultation and training on quality captioning and other types of communication access to media and events. She is an international speaker and a book author. Sveta’s TEDx talk uncovers the benefits of captioning access that increase audience and ROI for businesses.
Sveta is a cochlear implant user, a native Russian speaker, a fluent ASL user, and can communicate in at least 5 languages. She has had to deal with accessibility barriers, attended different schools in different languages, and lived in different countries.
