Svetlana Kouznetsova (Sveta) is a user experience and accessibility consultant working with businesses to make their web, media, events usable and accessible to more people. She has an MS degree in Internet Technology and 20 years of professional experience in design, tech, business, user experience, accessibility. Sveta is also a founder of Audio Accessibility and provides consultation and training on quality captioning and other types of communication access to media and events. She is an international speaker and a book author. Sveta’s TEDx talk uncovers the benefits of captioning access that increase audience and ROI for businesses. She is a former hearing aid user and a current cochlear implant user, fluent in American Sign Language (her fifth language), and can communicate in at least 5 languages (Russian is her first language). Her daily experience with deafness, accessibility barriers, education in different schools, different countries, and different languages, interaction with non-disabled people, and living in another country gives people an exceptional insight into her professional experience and expertise in accessibility.
