Xiaobi (Iris) Pan

Xiaobi (Iris) Pan is a globally-recognized pioneer in the fields of User Experience Design, Emerging Technology Design, Integrative Product Design, etc. She has been the inventor of the very first sound wave interactive installation visited by over 1 million participants, the app that promises to plant 100 million trees on our planet by 2025, and a series of industry-leading new technology products and experiences.

She has been the receiver of a list of prestigious awards including the Red Dot award, A’ Design Award, the ADC Awards, the UX Design Awards, the Fast Company Innovation by Design Award, etc.

She has lectured at a wide range of international conferences, universities (including Harvard, Yale, Northeastern, Berklee College of Music, Emerson College), and companies (Apple Inc, IDEO, for example).

She is among the jury panel of various international design awards, including the SF Design Week Awards, the IxDA Interaction Awards, the Indigo Design Award, the Orpetron Web Design Awards, etc.

Currently a Lead Designer at Amazon, she is dedicated to using technologies like Augmented Reality and Artificial Intelligence to revolutionize the consumer experience for both business and social good.

Outside of work, she likes to write, make music, and saber to her custom songs in Virtual Reality. Her writings on design, technology and their social implications have influenced over 10 million readers worldwide.
