It only took one harrowing experience early in my Senior UX Designer role days to realize that I had lacked a refinement and confidence allowing me to take control of my meetings where I needed design peer review. I was bombarded with derailing questions, experienced an imbalance of input from the team and could not get a word in myself, the host! I turned this around by proposing a protocol structure allowing design peer reviews to receive actionable feedback, to feel heard, to be given equal opportunity to contribute and run a design review without letting it run you. You too can make design peer review sessions productive, efficient and a pleasant experience for everyone.
