Rayana Verissimo is a Product Design leader at GitLab, an open source collaboration tool for software development used by more than 100,000 organizations around the globe. She previously led design systems at Backbase and did user interface engineering work for Apple.
Rayana cares about thoughtfully creating collaborative design and empowering teams to build successful experiences in a systematic way, by working at the intersection of design and development.
She occasionally runs workshops on design systems, design principles, and collaboration between design and engineering. Rayana also co-organizes Ladies That UX Amsterdam, a community of women that work in UX, who positively promote and teach each other.
