Divergent Thinking

Studies show that divergent thinking has both personal and professional benefits: it can improve mental health and produce better ideas. And yet, we do less and less of it. This talk applies current research studies to explore benefits of divergent thinking, causes of decline, and how to reverse the trend. It includes a “personal workshop”, where participants explore their own proclivity for divergent thinking, and how they might apply it to their own current work or personal challenges.
