The choices we make in the design and structure of digital content reflect our values—those of our teams, our companies, and our society at large. And when that society is struggling with a global pandemic, inescapable greed, and spiraling injustice, well—let’s just say it’s tricky to work in tech these days.
Somehow, we have to be able to build digital systems that respect and empower people, while working within institutional systems that don’t. In this talk, we’ll explore what that might mean: reconnecting with community, recentering our humanity, and rethinking the role of content structure and organization in our information systems.
