Boosting Local Economy via UX Design (SXSW 2025)

My UX design career began years ago. In that time, I’ve designed software, web apps, websites, you name it. I became quite good at solving complex problems tied to KPIs / profit margins but I was wanting to do more. My experience and career led me to start my own venture separate from my career. As UX designers, we have the ability to create meaningful change. Most commonly in Big Tech where the problems and budgets are big but I believe it can happen on a small scale too even in our own communities. By leveraging our design thinking skills to support small businesses, we can contribute to a thriving local economy and foster a sense of community resilience.
