Jacinda Walker will discuss research findings from her thesis, Design Journeys: Strategies for Increasing Diversity in Design Disciplines, including the complex problems that contribute to the lack of diversity in design. She’ll share her 15 strategic ideas for exposing African-American and Latino youth to design-related careers, and explain the four principles of a strategic solution to closing the diversity gap in design.
