Speaking the Code
The designer’s toolbox has expanded beyond the static mockup and wireframes. By understanding and writing HTML / CSS and collaborating closely with engineers, designers are finding that they can have more control over final outcomes. Susan will talk about working with engineers using Nicole Sullivan’s component library framework to bake good design DNA into every new page on Trulia. She will share examples and stories about what worked and didn’t while figuring out the process.
Bio
Susan is a Senior Product Designer at Trulia where she designs the home hunting experience. In addition to UX, she’s contributed to Trulia’s visual library codebase and unofficial chatroom with cute GIFs, 2012-2014.
