The Information Architecture Conference is an annual, in-person event celebrating the tools and methods for designing and structuring digital information spaces. Each year we host 12 workshops over two days and 60 speakers over three days in a three track, multi-event conference. IAC20 was going to be held in New Orleans in April 2020. When it became clear by mid-March that we would not be able to have our event on site, our team came up with an online solution.
Learn how a team of three co-chairs and a dozen volunteers transformed a five-day onsite event into a 30-day celebration of IA learning, mentoring and games, hosted via Zoom, Slack, Discord, MURAL and Vimeo, and how we gave back to the New Orleans community.
